Dar Nour (‘House of Light’) is from the 18th Century and distinguished by its carved and painted wood, by the the carved Jewish “tarma” used as entrance to the kitchen, the four sided carved balcony, the doors upstairs and downstairs painted in different designs and the ancient wooden door carved in Kufic script that originally came from Moulay Idriss Zerhoune.
The view from the top terrace stretches across the medina to the Palais Jamaï and Mount Zalagh. Also the ruin next door, if purchased, would make an excellent garden with access from the nearby neighbourhood of Guerniz. Below you find more specific information on the house. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. You’re warmly welcome for a visit!
